Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace App Reviews

This app seems cool, but it crashes all the time so I havent been able to view more than a page or two of the story at a time. I havent been able to try the pod racing because the app crashes. I have an iPad mini.

Right when I touch the game it logs me out of it

This is an amazing game! Only one problem, every time I buy a podracer and put upgrades on him, it disappears after I exit the game, but it gives me the points back. I dont want to have to buy sebulba and upgrade him every time I play this game.

This app is a great resource for Episode 1. The podracing is fun as well. However, the Profiles section is full of spelling errors and other oddities. Please fix.

I love that you can see the character profiles and do pod racing to get more profiles add Star Wars journeys attack of the clones cause it is one of my favorite episodes

Episode 1 Racer is my entire childhood, played it ever since the old windows 95 days. So when I saw the podracer feature in this app, with improved graphics working on iphone, I bought it without thinking twice. I was happy to see many of the nostalgic characters, but quickly noticed all of the missing racers. Sadly the more I played this game, the more I began to miss the oldschool racer, this game just doesnt compare. The races dont feel fast paced. Most of the characters and maps are missing. The maps repeat, im sick of tatooine already, stop. Whats up with that boost animation? It looks like the engines are on fire. This game should be as close as possible to the original, if not the same. The original game was made with passion, this game solely relies on nice looking graphics, which I admit are great, but I would give up the graphics any day for gameplay like the original racer gave us. You guys have the rights to the original racer, just make it compatible with the portable devices.

Really fun for a kids game and why is it a kids game it should say 6+

Now Im just waiting for Episode II Ive waited forever for Podracing to come to iOS and I guess the old saying is true. Good things come to them that wait! Im so stoked to get to play Episode I Podracer!!!! They did a fantastic job, especially adding the story book for kids!!! Well done Disney!!! EPIC!!!

Please fix the orientation on iphone 5s. I love this app!

Latest update cause problem with iPhone 5s. Game cannot be play in horizontal position like it suppose to but switching to vertical. If you would fix this as soon as possible it be appreciated. Thanks JB

The newest version of this app used on iPhone 5s with the latest os. The pod racing goes vertical and no control what so ever, please fix, love the pod racing, but this latest update messed it all up. Just downloaded new update with bug fixes on 11/29. Pod racing still messed up on iPhone 5s with latest iOS. Please fix!!! Look I paid plenty for this app, shouldnt be that hard to fix, getting ready to give it o stars Vs five.

Cant get enough of the Pod Racing, and the story scenes are beautiful. Theyve done a wonderful job with the retelling, and the movie soundbites are great!

I should have listened to the other reviews. I purchased this and cannot use it at all. It needs an update badly to allow horizontal switching. Until then this was a waste of 5 dollars. I cant understand why it would be an "editors choice." Shortly after writing this I noticed something peculiar. The app size (without documents and data) ballooned to 900 MBs. Almost twice what the information in the store states.

Thanks for finally fixing the screen orientation. Anyway, I really enjoy this game, ESPECIALLY the podracing activity. Speaking of which, I think this game could use more characters for the Pod Racing Activity and they got their reasons. The following characters include... Clegg Holdfast: He is seen on the farthest right of the Pod Race page of the Story Experience. Gasgano: He is on the farthest left of the Pod Race page of the Story Experience. Ben Quadinaros: Despite not being in the Pages, he, Gasgano, Anakin, and Sebulba are the 4 playable characters that appeared in every Pod Racing game, IF you include Star Wars Racer Arcade. Besides, his pod racers got 4, COUNT EM, 4 ENGINES! :D This will make 9 characters and 18 different Pod Racer vehicles, so whenever you do a quick race, tournament, or knockout race, 5 out of the 9 characters will be selected at random. Also, maybe if you add quotes from Star Wars Episode 1 Racer for the N64, Dreamcast, and PC, it would make the game more fun. Maybe you can also add Fode & Beeds quotes from the same game, as well. There were some problems with the loading screen, but it was fixed. Heres the problem.: For some reasons, Ive recently updated this game for the iPod Touch 5th Generation and the Assets wont load. It always stays at 0%. Even updating more than once doesnt work. It happens with version 1.2. At first, this problem also happened with version 1.3, but it was resolved later on. :) Hopefully, this game will continue to still work for the iPod Touch 5th Generation. :)

Dont buy this junk. Theres a new version called "Beginnings", but that one isnt worth the exorbitant cost either. Pod Racing was more fun in the N64 game from years ago than this crappy app with terrible controls. Ignore the lying positive reviews and dont waste your money.
